Tabs in the projects

Choose which tabs everyone in this company sees for an assembly. A project or assembly can set it differently, with the button to the right of the tabs. Overview and Reports are always there. Saved immediately.

Checks for the whole company

Every check runs the fixed basic checks on the model, the BOM and the drawing. Turn off here what you do not want checked; a project or an assembly can set it differently again. You record your own agreements under Requirements.

Who may change this for the whole company

Applies to turning off checks and ignoring comments for the whole company. Everyone can do that per project and per assembly. Only an administrator can change this setting.

A choice here applies to all projects, unless a project or assembly sets it differently. Saved immediately.

Company requirements

Record your own agreements as rules with a code. For a check you choose which sets take part; the report states per rule whether it is met, not met, or cannot be determined from the supplied files. Requirements that apply to only one project, such as those of a customer, you record in that project under "Check settings".

How does this work? Explanation and examples

File storage

Where this company's models, drawings and BOMs are stored. BOMproof always keeps project data and reports itself.

BOMproof storage in the EU In use Cloudflare R2, EU jurisdiction Your files are kept in a separate storage space at Cloudflare that may only be located in data centers within the European Union. You do not have to set anything up.

Location: EU jurisdiction: files are stored only within the European Union.
Encryption: Stored encrypted (AES-256) and only sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
Access: Only members of your company. For every file your login, your membership and an active subscription are checked again.
Download links: Signed and valid for 12 hours; after that a shared link no longer works.
Checks: The check only reads the files, from Google Cloud in the EU (Belgium). Project data and reports are also kept in Europe, at Google Cloud.
GDPR: Cloudflare (files) and Google (project data, checks) are sub-processors. Read the privacy statement
Per file: Up to 500 MB. Deleted files stay in the recycle bin for 30 days.

Own storage (S3-compatible) Coming soon E.g. your own NAS or a bucket at another provider Files go to storage you manage yourself, such as a NAS with S3 support (Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS, MinIO) or a bucket at a provider of your choice. BOMproof then only keeps the project and report data.

Location: Wherever you put the storage, including your own server room.
Reachable: The storage must be reachable over the internet (HTTPS), otherwise the check cannot read the files.
